Ben Hendricks, Managing Director
Mr. Hendricks is responsible for operations, business development and investor relations. He founded Annacore Business Capital to provide funding opportunities to businesses through venture capitalists, hedge funds, and private investors. Mr. Hendricks, as both an entrepreneur and private investor, is credited with the capitalization, operational success and sale of several real estate entities. He began his career in the mortgage industry where he became one of the most successful Mortgage Originators in the Midwest, earning numerous honors. Mr. Hendricks currently holds Real Estate, Mortgage Broker, and Investment Advisory licenses in the State of Michigan. Mr. Hendricks is also a registered agent of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He currently sits on the Board of Directors for AADI Advanced Injection, LLC and Net Capital Realty, LLC. Mr. Hendricks entered the Eastern Michigan University School of Business from which he graduated in 1994 with degrees in Finance and Real Estate.
Michael Brennan, Global Funding Manager.
Mr. Brennan is responsible for client development and relations worldwide. Mr. Brennan is an accomplished executive and entrepreneur with more than 20 years experience involving both growth and start-up organizations. In 1999, Mr. Brennan and partners founded Home Network, LLC, an innovative real estate and financial services company. Mr. Brennan raised ten million dollars privately for this effort. In early 2005, Mr. Brennan and partners raised two million dollars to transition Home Network into a new national franchise model. In March 2005 Mr. Brennan founded Apex Associates, LLC, a private equity fund. Mr. Brennan and partners successfully raised one million dollars in 60 days to begin Apex operations. In August 2005 Mr. Brennan became a partner in MT Black Ventures, LLC, a private equity firm established for capital investment opportunities throughout the United States. Mr. Brennan attended the University of Detroit Jesuit, Western Michigan University, 1982-1985 and The University of Detroit-Mercy, 1985-1986.
Thomas C. Pond, Funding Manager
Mr. Pond is responsible for client due diligence and funding assessment for our primary investment sources worldwide. Mr. Pond is also currently serving as CFO and a member of the Advisory Board of AADI Advanced Injection LLC which is located in Sugar Land, Texas and engaged in the testing, optimization and licensing of its patented DISSAN fuel injection technology for autos, trucks and special engine applications in the transportation, military and power generation industries. He is also the founding partner of NDCC Ventures LLC, a consulting services company providing business model development, strategic planning and funding services to early development and growth stage organizations. Mr. Pond has thirty years experience working within growth-stage organizations, as a driver of multiple start-ups and as a partner in the private equity environment. From his positions of increasing responsibility as controller, CFO, Vice-President and a Board member he was instrumental in guiding a graphic arts organization through a ten-fold growth period. In late 2005, building on contacts and exposure to the private equity market, Mr. Pond and partners founded and funded Apex Associates, LLC a private fund subscribed for commercial investment purposes in the “clean-tech” and nanotech sectors. He holds a Business Administration degree from Michigan State University and received Bachelor of Accountancy and Masters of Finance degrees from Walsh College.
Brett Homovec, Merger & Acquisitions Analyst
Mr. Homovec is responsible for Client Mergers and Acquisitions worldwide. Mr. Homovec is also currently a principal in Company Connections of Southeast Michigan and also founder and President of Peak Blue Ventures Inc., a consulting firm serving entrepreneurs and business owners with strategy and implementation of business development plans, corporate finance, capital raising activities and mergers and acquisition advisory services. Brett served as President and COO of Enercorp, Inc., a closed-end Investment Company and business development company. At Enercorp, Brett was responsible for originating investment opportunities and providing on-going assistance and advice to investment companies, including corporate finance transactions, strategic acquisitions and divestitures. Brett gained his Corporate Finance/Mergers and Acquisitions experience as a Vice President in the Investment Banking Group for Rodman & Renshaw Inc. in New York and Chicago, where he advised business owners, corporate clients and financial buyers on business valuations, M&A and private placements. He also served as a Senior Associate in the Dean Witter Reynolds Corporate Finance Group and as an audit professional for Touche Ross & Co. in New York. Brett graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Economics and received his MBA in Finance from New York University - Stern School of Business
J. Michael Mastantuono, Funding Analyst
Mr. Mastantuono is responsible for financial analysis and the development of new client relationships. Mr. Mastantuono has a combined 20 years tax, consulting and mortgage banking experience. Mr. Mastantuono graduated from Michigan State University in 1985 with a B.A. in Business Administration and Walsh College in 1992 with a Masters of Science in Taxation. His previous employment includes PricewaterhouseCoopers, Talon Inc., LoanGiant.com and Home Network. He has been an entrepreneur his whole life. Work experience includes taking a company public, running a tax department, building and operating two organizations from the ground up. He is currently the sole owner of RE Mortgage. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Michigan Association of CPA’s
